Your Right to Control Your Data
At Kaapu Lights, we respect your privacy and your right to control your personal information. This Account Deletion Policy explains how members can permanently delete their accounts and what happens to their data after deletion.
1. Your Right to Delete Your Account
You may request the permanent deletion of your Kaapu Lights account at any time. Once your request is processed, your account will no longer be accessible, and your personal information will be removed or anonymized in accordance with applicable laws and our Privacy Policy.
2. How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your account using any of the following methods:
Method 1 – From the App or Website (Recommended)
- Log in to your Kaapu Lights account.
- Go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account.
- Read the confirmation message carefully.
- Confirm your request.
- Your deletion request will be submitted for processing.
Method 2 – Contact Support
If you cannot access your account, you may request deletion by contacting us. Please include:
- Your registered name
- Registered email address or mobile number
- Reason for deletion (optional)

3. Processing Time
Most account deletion requests are completed within 7 business days. In some cases, additional time may be required to verify ownership of the account.
4. What Happens When Your Account Is Deleted?
Once your request is approved:
- Your profile will be permanently removed.
- Your login credentials will be deleted.
- Your personal profile information will be removed from public view.
- Your uploaded profile photo and personal details will be deleted.
- Your membership information will no longer be accessible.
- You will no longer receive notifications or communications from Kaapu Lights.
5. Data That May Be Retained
Some information may be retained for a limited period when required for:
- Legal obligations
- Fraud prevention
- Security investigations
- Dispute resolution
- Enforcement of our Terms and Conditions
- Backup and disaster recovery processes
Retained information will not be used for marketing purposes.
6. Community Content
Content that you voluntarily shared publicly (such as posts, comments, or discussions) may remain visible after account deletion if it has become part of community conversations. Wherever practical, such content may be anonymized by removing identifying information.
7. Membership Fees
Deleting your account does not automatically entitle you to a refund of any membership or subscription fees. Refunds, if applicable, are governed by our Refund Policy.
8. Re-registration
After your account has been permanently deleted, you may register a new account using the same email address or mobile number, subject to our current registration policies.
